So, I’ve had this idea for a while now:
I think the scene Lea referenced just now is Kurt and Rachel both finding out they got past stage 1 of admissions applications and get to audition for NYADA. Rachel mentioned auditions to Finn, so I’m pretty sure that will play in somehow.
After the auditions, I think one of them will get in, and one will not.
I actually think that Kurt’s going to nail his audition, and Rachel’s going to overdo the acting (she has a history of doing that, really), and miss out.
I think that maybe the “we’ll figure something out” line from Blaine is going to end up being Blaine helping Kurt run lines for that audition until he’s perfect. Buuuut…I also think Blaine’s going to help Kurt realize that it’s a bad idea to put all your eggs in one basket and encourage him to apply to some other schools as well.
And I think during this process, Kurt’s going to do some soul-searching, and realize that fashion has been his biggest interest his whole life. And that while he enjoys performing, he lives for fashion. And I don’t think it’s going to come off as Kurt settling for an alternative that’s easier.
Even Chris thought Kurt was more of a fashion guy, and he was surprised by the early S3 scripts that had Kurt wanting to be a performer. After all, I think Chris knows Kurt better than ANYONE, including the writers. What if his instincts regarding the character he inspired and created were actually correct, all along?
I think everyone has noted by now that they went out of their way to make all of Kurt’s promo shots at the beginning of Season 3 relevant to design. I almost wonder if that wasn’t intentional.
But I think Kurt’s going to win big here. I think he’s going to get accepted not only to NYADA, but also to the top fashion school of his choice (conveniently also located in NYC).
And I think, because Kurt is Kurt, he’s going to give up his NYADA spot for Rachel, because he knows her dream has always been performing and that it means more to her than it does to him.
Damn. You’re brilliant. It is pretentious to say that I love you.
THIS
agreement.
Yes.
exactly yes indeed good
I don’t know… the writers are not this brilliant. Or coherent.
but now I want it to happen exactly like that
